Hello everyone! How is your summer going? Me? I had a blast in Baguio City!
Last May 15-17 I participated in a 3 day Baguio adventure. We stayed in Azalea Residences a premier hotel in the city and an all- suite vacation residence. We also visited the famous tourist attractions and known restaurants as well!
Since this 3 day event cant be summed up by just one blog post I will 1st talk about the hotel we are staying at and provided our tour as well.
Azalea Residences Baguio is a recently opened all-suite vacation residence that offers the full service and amenities of a serviced-apartment, complete with living, dining and kitchen facilities in all its suites. Baguio, being dubbed as "The Summer Capital of the Philippines", the structure resembles a ski resort that also offers a spectacular view of the pine trees. Azalea Residences is definitely the place to be for families, friends, business travelers that wants to experience that luxury hotel with the coziness feel of your own home! I must also say that the hotel is situated in a very good area since its just 5 minutes away from session road.
This is just a quick tour of the hotel:
The Fountain |
Main Entrance |
The Lobby |
Lounging Area and Bar (There is also a souvenir shop beside the bar) |
Tradisyon Pinoy Comfort Food (their in house restaurant) |
Me and my room mates stay in a 2 bedroom suite with a side balcony. We do have a sitting room (couch ) and they made it a sleeping area as well. the room includes a dining area, kitchen and utensils, two bathrooms, we also have a refrigerator and a microwave. The bed is super comfortable! If i can remember they are using Uratex brand for their mattresses (our family uses that brand too) and the comforter is just amazing! its made out of geese feathers and its super soft and fluffy! i wish i had that type of comforter at home. The rooms are maintained well i must say. its spotless when we arrived. I have a pet peeve when it comes to the kitchen and bathroom and i must say they exceeded my expectations. I was able to sleep good and will definitely come back to Azalea Residences Baguio on our next trip! The Best hotel that i have stayed in. It made my Baguio experience a fun a relaxing one!
Staff Experience:
I must say that everyone is courteous, helpful and accommodating. If we need assistance in our room within 2 minutes they are already on your door ready to assist. They have an amazing group of people working for them. I also want to thank Sir Paul and JP and Ms. Therese and Rachel for making our stay really memorable!
Room Amenities:
BATHROOM
They have a complete set for your toiletries! they have an abundance of bath and face towels, they also give a daily refresh set of the items in the bathroom without you asking for it! The toilet flushes well. They also have water heaters for both of the bathrooms and it works for both of the bathroom sink and the shower. ps they also have a bidey(that tiny spray beside the toilet).
TOILETRIES PROVIDED: hand and body lotion, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, dental kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, toothpick), shower caps, cotton buds, nail file, comb, and some cotton rounds.
BEDROOM
The bedrooms are well lit and you can adjust it to your preference, there are also side lamps and tables as well. they also have a blower in the room as well! There are a lot of power sockets which is a very nice since we (bloggers) have so much gadgets that we need to charge. They are also not stingy with the pillow and its really of good quality. its very soft and fluffy! the bed is super amazing it made me sleep like im at home and the comforter is just wonderful ( I miss that comforter!!!) We also have a nice dresser with hangers for clothes. They also provided us with house shoes, bath robes, shoe mitts and sewing kit. Since Baguio city does have cool weather we have a fan so with just that the room gets really cold at night
KITCHEN
We are not able to utilize the use of the kitchen but i tested everything and it works, electric stove and the vent on top of that works fine, the electric water kettle, microwave and refrigerator works great as well. We have complementary tea and coffee packets as well, all the necessary utensils and cookware are provided as well. and the sink and faucet works well.
SITTING AND DINING AREA
The area is well lit and spacious. by the way there is cable TV in the rooms and in the living are with SKY Cable. the couch is comfortable as well
WIFI SERVICE
We have a pretty bad wifi in our room. the lobby has a very good signal though. If you do have a portable internet just make sure that you are near the window and you will be fine.
Areas for improvement:
Fan Switch labels- please put some labels for the FAN SWITCH since there is a lot of switches in the room its kinda hard to know which one is for which.
Wifi Connection- Maybe its just our room or some other rooms are affected too, please improve the wifi signal in all the rooms.
Overall i love Azalea Residences and will definitely be back with my husband for a relaxing weekend in Baguio, We will just bring our own Wifi device just to be sure.
